I love mafia story. I like bad boy stories. I like stories where the woman is weak or she finds herself and doesn't let another drag her back in that weak state.
I like a little fiction and a little reality.
What I don't like?
Reading "B!tch" on nearly every single page that I read.
Yes, men drop profanity worse than .....
I like the nitty gritty...I don't care for romance. It's overrated and not my cup of tea.
This...it was like reading about two people that seemed to be tripping on acid most of the time they they reference each other.
"Maybe I..." that gets thrown around a lot. Ask any man in this type of life what will happen if his woman is disrespected or touched...Mack wouldn't haven't made it to the end of the story.
I read others reviews I was expecting this amazing story.
Maybe I just used to a certain type of writing...who knows. I skimmed some parts of the book...they just dragged.
A book that can keep me awake and hunting for the next one? That's a book on my top shelf.

Seriously, we get it every man refers to her as a dog in heat...(in the crudest term).
Some of it seems so far fetched that I shook my head and skipped it. It's middle of the road for me...some parts I wanted to know what would happen next other parts I was wondering when something would happen.
This may be an amazing book for someone else, just not for me. I finished it...but I won't be reading the second.
In fairness to the author, I haven't finished reading it and probably won't complete it. I'm not used to this writing style. The story seems to be dragged out and I lost interest in it.
I LOVED this book! The writing is fantastic and I was drawn in right from the start. So much angst and danger. It just leaps out from the pages. Very well done. I can't wait for the next one.
This book is dark and not for those who dabble in dark reads. You will have to put aside the guilt you feel for even reading Crescendo in order to finish it. Crescendo is quality writing with a quality story. It does leave you hanging until book two is published.
Now that I'm over my temper tantrum (a very lady like one where only a few F-bombs were added!) I can finally share my feelings for this book. First though, please for the love of my sanity when can we get "Melody"? I'm dying here!?!? This book is an amazing work of art that has you torn into so many pieces that you don't know who to cheer for, who to hate, who to love, and how you want the ending to go. It's a rollercoaster told from both sides and omg I'd love me a "Lucifer" any day of the week. No other spoilers but if you want to read something that truly is what the epitome of a boom, this is it. I loved this book and I love Ms. Sky's writing, I can't get enough!
I wasn’t sure what level of dark I was going to find when I started reading Crescendo. It was my first book from Lana Sky, and I’d only recently heard of her. I thought it was a really good dark read, and I’m glad I bought it. Many times I can’t stand the heroines in dark reads because authors tend to write them a certain way, but I liked Danny a lot in this book. I thought she showed incredible strength throughout the whole book, and intelligence. Two things I love in a heroine. I also really enjoyed the back story for Dante and his brother, and all of the inner conflict Dante and Danny bother went through in the book. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Gotta say this book was darker then I thought I would enjoy. But now weeks later I still think of this book. I won't lie at times I wanted to stop reading because I was like eww nope not NOT so not what I think is sexy yet I could not walk away from this book. Its dark and dirty and so freaking beautiful to read. It is not a hallmark movie book, it isn't even a erotic sexy book its a raw , dirty, this so could be real life book that I did not think I would enjoy. I was emotionally drained when it finished and I will go back for more when book 2 is out.
Please note if you have ever been around anyone with serious emotional scars the inner thoughts of Dante are very accurate, this is not a simple love story and if you are offended by the harsh reality that people do honestly think "mean things" or "demeaning things" for self preservation then you may not /will not enjoy this book.
However, if you are not a self absorbed, politically correct, girl power only, all the time person then you should be alright.
